Ready, Set, Code! -- Integrating Computer Programming into Your Math Curriculum

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Curious how computer programming fits into your classroom? Learn how to incorporate coding into daily lesson plans, starting with mini challenges for 4th graders and building into full scale projects for middle schoolers and beyond. We will look at examples of student work at all levels, exploring the ways that coding can support curricular goals and teach essential problem-solving skills. We will even play with writing a bit of code ourselves, so make sure to bring a device*!

*Scratch is Flash-dependent, so if you have an option other than an i-Pad or an i-Phone, bring that! Otherwise, you'll have a great excuse to make a new friend with a Flash-friendly device. Collaboration is highly encouraged!
