Using Skype in the classroom breaks down the walls of learning and not only connects students to people around the world, but also creates connections to what they are learning in the classroom to real-world applications. We will walk through the "Microsoft in Education- Skype in the Classroom" website, how to set up a "Mystery Skype", conduct a "Virtual Tour", how to get guest speakers, and suggestions on how to start simple with Skype. Participants will gain a knowledge of how to use Skype in a classroom setting. They will understand the benefits and difficulties, as well as learn how conduct their own video sessions. Participants will also gain an ease of mind upon realization of how simple using this tool can be. Participants will gain a insight on how they could use Skype in their classroom through the many examples I have to show.
