Anissa Labrador is a dedicated lifelong educator who is never satisfied with status quo and is always looking for her next opportunity to learn. She strives to inspire teachers to embrace change, learn by making mistakes, and enhance their teaching strategies with technology with the goal of guiding students to take ownership of their learning. She spent 17 years teaching grades 2-5, and as technology evolved began to integrate tech tools into her teaching strategies. This desire led her to become the first Instructional Technology Coordinator at Montverde Academy in which she was responsible for training the faculty during a three-year technology integration plan. Currently, she is an instructor with EdTechTeacher. She has her BS in Education from Florida Atlantic University and earned a MS degree in BrainSMART, a program which applies the latest discoveries in neurosciences to education. She has presented at conferences such as FCIS and FETC, ETTSummitBoston, ETTinnovation Summit SanDiego, and Superior Tech 4 Teachers. She is excited to be instructing and presenting at Innovation Summit Boston 2016!
